Ground Sichuan pepper

It is a berry similar to pepper, much loved in oriental cuisine. The plant, originally from Sichuan (Chinese province), belongs to the same family as lemons.

How to use

In cooking, only the shells containing the berries are used, usually toasted and ground before being added raw. Exceptional when paired with meat, fish and baked or stewed vegetables. Also worth trying with desserts.
