Wholemeal biscuits with pears and ginger

Ingredients

  • 120 g all-purpose flour
  • 120 g wholemeal flour
  • 1 egg
  • 140 g soft butter
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 200 g peeled and diced Abate pear
  • CANNAMELA ground ginger
  • CANNAMELA ground nutmeg
  • 2 g baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt

Place the diced pear on the baking tray lined with baking paper and bake at 165° for 30 mins. Remove from the oven and leave to cool.

With an electric whisk, cream the butter and brown sugar, then add the flours with the baking powder and salt.

Add the egg and pears and stir to mix the ingredients.

Flavour with Cannamela grated nutmeg and Cannamela ground ginger.

Using a spoon, scoop up small portions of dough, and place them on baking trays protected with baking paper, spacing them out to form 24 biscuits. Bake the biscuits at 190° for 12-14 min. Remove from the oven, wait a couple of minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool.
